Hadley's 17# fish

Today we went out as a family again to try and get a fish for Seila and Hadley. We fished from 6-9 and never had a king on. We caught 3 little jacks but no kings. We decided to call it a day so we started to bring in the poles one at a time. As I was pulling the last rod off the downrigger this fish hit. Hadley fought this hen without even pulling anchor. She did a great job. We weighed it at 17#. We caught it on a helmet. We tried lots of super baits today with no luck. Tomorrow morning it's Vard, Brandon and sons.

Jacob Lee

Today we took Jacob Lee fishing with us. He had never caught a salmon up to this point in his short life. I think every 13 year old should have caught a salmon. So today was Jacobs day to land his first salmon. Although not a monster it was the biggest fish Jacob had ever caught. Congratulations and well done on fighting and landing this fish. This fish is in the 12# class. We caught it on anchovies. We also hooked about 4 other jacks they came on anchovies and black jack.

Family fishing time

Well today we finally made it out to Wanapum as a family. Yesterday we tried to get up but I was just too tired so we didn't make it out. We started by getting all the rods out and then choosing poles. Kale said he wanted which ever pole had a fish on it first. We told him that wasn't fair and he had to just choose one. All the poles were chosen and within a few minutes Kales pole had a fish on it. He proceeded to fight and land his 27# fish . He was pretty excited to catch another salmon. He has about 10 salmon on his catch card already. We then let the rods out again and after waiting out the fish another rod went off this time it was Kais' he took care of it like an old pro in short order we had his fish in the boat, a 15# salmon. It looked like a football a very fat and bright fish. Heather was next, Kale gave her his pole and it caught the next one as you can see not alot to be proud of. But she still smiles for the camera. Unfortuantely that was the end of the fish. Seila and Hadley will have to wait their turn another day. We caught them on Black jack and Mt. Dew nothing on anchovies today.
